A communications team member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dennis Miracles Aboagye, is under investigation over the alleged misappropriation, misapplication, diversion, and theft of public funds amounting to about GH¢55 million.
According to an official statement from the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), the investigation and his arrest are connected to his tenure as the former Executive Secretary of the Inter-Ministerial Coordinating Committee on Decentralisation (IMCCoD).
