Selected boxing gyms in Gamashie have received a donation of training equipment through the efforts of Derrick Nii Asai Ankrah and philanthropist Christina Xia.

The initiative is aimed at improving training conditions for boxers and providing young athletes with the resources needed to develop their skills in one of Ghana’s renowned boxing communities.

The donated equipment is expected to ease some of the challenges faced by local gyms while creating a better environment for coaches and aspiring fighters to prepare for competitions.

Gamashie has long been recognised as a breeding ground for some of Ghana’s finest boxers, and the latest support is seen as a significant boost to grassroots boxing development in the area.

Organisers expressed hope that the donation would inspire the next generation of champions and contribute to the continued growth of the sport. They also encouraged individuals and corporate organisations to support similar initiatives aimed at nurturing young boxing talents and strengthening community-based sports development across the country.
