Coach Bashir Hayford has departed Heart of Lions following the expiration of his contract, bringing his spell with the Ghana Premier League side to an end.
The experienced tactician leaves the club after the conclusion of the 2025/26 season, with both parties parting ways upon the expiry of his deal.
Heart of Lions are now expected to begin the search for a new head coach as preparations intensify for the 2026/27 campaign. The club is keen to appoint a successor in the coming weeks to oversee pre-season activities and strengthen the squad ahead of the new season.
Hayford’s departure marks the first major technical change at the club following the end of the league season. His next destination remains unknown, while Heart of Lions are yet to announce a replacement.
